Quepos!!! We hear you! Our informational meeting for people in Quepos and Manuel Antonio who want SalsaStar's gymnastics and other programs will be soon. We will present our courses for gymnastics, Hip Hop/Breakdance, Salsa and Latin Dance, and Voice/Karaoke. We are looking for a venue for the classes and are also looking for a restaurant that would like to have a Salsa Dinner Show on Friday nights and/or Saturday nights, and a disco that would like to have their salsa night opened with a fun group class and optional DJ service from the dance instructors (the instructors always know the best music for dancing. Please come to the meeting ready to sign up for classes, as a large minimum number of students is required due to the expense of mobilizing the equipment and instructors to and from Quepos.  If you want the SalsaStar programs, please continue recruiting additional families for the various programs so that we can start in February 2009!

Greater Jaco area: OOur salsa social is temporarily suspended until high season. We will announce it's new start when it's time.

We have an exhibition of all of our programs on Saturday, October 25 at 3:30 PM at Plaza Coral in the pasarela event. We do not have anything to do with what outfits are worn by models, as we are ONLY providing the shows of our students (dance, voice, gymnastics). started a new dance social: Salsa Sundays: It was in Jaco on Sunday evenings 7-9 PM and featured a short salsa lesson followed by social dancing. It is designed to allow everyone to learn to dance without an audience and without the "party crowd." It was fun and we had a nice group attending. We will announHeld at the Jungle Bar next to Subway in Jaco, it requires a $5 (or more if you wish) donation per person, paid directly on the dance floor to Andres or Wendy (to SalsaStar for providing lesson and DJ service during the 2 hours). We like this social - close to our house, close to the studio, and we already have a nice little group of people attending - and the group is growing each week. We ask that all participants support the venue by buying a few drinks (bottles of water, juice, drinks, whatever) and/or food in order to support them for the use of their dance area. We start and finish our event before the party crowd arrives, so the air is free or almost free of smoke and the facilities are very clean.
